Biografia
Aoi Huber nasce a
Tokyo nel 1936 e cresce in un ambiente movimentato e creativo che stimola il suo interesse per la grafica: il padre, Takashi Kono, inizia negli anni ‘50 la sua attività di grafico indipendente
con uno studio in casa.
Dopo il liceo artistico, Aoi si diploma
all'Università di Arte e Musica di Tokyo. Nel 1960, su consiglio del padre, parte per Stoccolma dove frequenta un corso di perfezionamento di grafica presso la scuola di arti e
mestieri. Un anno dopo si trasferisce a Milano dove esegue numerosi
disegni e illustrazioni per vari editori collaborando con Max Huber, che sposerà nel ’62.
Aoi

and grew up in a lively and creative environment that stimulated his interest in graphic design: his father, Takashi Kono, started his independent graphic design business in the 1950s with a home
studio.
After art high school, Aoi graduated from the University
of Art and Music in Tokyo. In 1960, on his father's advice, he left for Stockholm where he attended an advanced course in graphic design at the school of arts and crafts. A year later he moved to
Milan where he made numerous drawings and illustrations for various publishers, collaborating with Max Huber, whom he married in 1962.
